Meet Lauren

I'm so happy that you're here! If you found my website and are reading this, it means that you're probably a fellow HSP who wants to make some changes in your life, and I can't wait to see what we accomplish together. 

 

Before we work together, you might want to know a little more about me, so here we go.

 

I started this journey almost ten years ago when I first discovered that I'm a highly sensitive person. Realizing that being highly sensitive is a real thing and that my experiences weren't abnormal (although they sometimes felt that way) was massively validating for me. At first, I didn't know what to do with this information, but the more I learned about what being a highly sensitive person meant, the more I realized that I needed to make some changes in my life in order to truly be happy and feel less stressed, overwhelmed, and drained.

Fast forward to now, and I actually have energy (almost) every day (even with a toddler at home), I set boundaries to protect my time and energy without feeling guilty about it, and I know what I need to do for myself to feel more balanced, happy, and fulfilled. For the past few years, I've been helping my highly sensitive clients do the same thing.​

My mission as a Self-Care & Empowerment Coach is to help other highly sensitive people get to know themselves better, find self-care strategies that are sustainable and actually work, and become more self-compassionate and accepting of who they are without having to figure it all out on their own.

By supporting you with my knowledge, compassion, and strategies, I'm here to show you that you CAN make positive changes in your life (and love yourself, too).​

When I first met Lauren I was unsure about coaching, and I quickly warmed up to the experience. I guess I was a skeptic across the board, because I wasn't sold on this whole "HSP" term either! Yet, I was coming in with a lot of sensitivities and bigger emotional reactions than I felt appropriate to the stimulus. 

 

Working with Lauren was incredibly helpful. She does a wonderful job of normalizing thoughts and experiences and educating on how being a highly sensitive person folds into the thoughts/experiences being discussed. She is warm, welcoming, and an excellent listener. She really helped me understand what being a highly sensitive person means, what it looks like in my own life, and ways to embrace as well as support my personal needs.

 

I found Lauren's recap notes that she'd send after sessions helpful, I'd read them and go, "Huh, I did say that..." With Lauren's psychoeducation about being an HSP, as well as attending HSP community meetings, I came to a level of acceptance and appreciation of HSP qualities that I didn't think I could get to! Her help allowed me to unlock a lot more self acceptance, internal peace, and easier ways to manage big reactions! Because of our work together I have a better understanding of HSPs, much better tools to support sensitivities, and finally found normalization/community in being an HSP, which really helps me accept HSP experiences.
